    Ft "Nasty" bass

Only 17? I think I've had seasons where I've caught less than 17

At least you were near the ramp.

    Fresh Rebuild

Very impressive work. Non-mechanics like myself would have been out much more.

    Trolling Motor Torque/Noise

Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I put a Motorguide Pro Series 75 on my Ranger R70 Sport last year replacing a 35 lb unit that was under powered and noisy. Now I have plenty of power but the mounting bracket still flexes and pops (very annoying) even at the lowest power setting. The unit is currently mounted directly to the boat. I've seen quick release mounting bases but don't know if that would fix the flexing/popping. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to eliminate the flex/popping noise?

    Douglas 5-21

At least you caught a few. I find myself doing the same things over and over even when they don't produce, unlike the pros who have to adapt/adjust to survive. Do you ever fish Flat Creek? I don't fish Douglas much anymore, but back in the day we usually spent most of our time there.

Thanks for the report, glad you caught some. I have never liked the C-rig myself, but realize it's a great way to catch them. I tend to spend most of my time breaking off and retying when I try to use it.

There is a previous thread/discussion on pink under "Crappie Fishing" that you might find interesting.

As for the jig box, a wise man once told me that any color is great as long as it's chartreuse...LOL. And I probably use it 90% of the time..... I like slider grubs but Bobby Garlands and curly tails are just as good I'm sure.
  11. Just a guess, but possibly a gar?
