New to Walleye Fishing and the Site

There’s a few guys that troll for them effectively with stuff like dipsy divers, lead core line, and maybe even downriggers. Some absolute monsters come out of dale hollow

    Trying to catch alewives

An alewife looks like a baby skipjack to me (somewhat)

    6-7-19 sauger

My buddy got a 21" sauger amongst all the white bass one spring not long ago. The ones I catch are usually an inch or two over keeper size

I know where they hang out by accident......... I mostly catch them trolling so it’s right up your alley

    Hey Rusty

It helps to have the prop sit in the "v" wave that the boat makes when underway. The props are different on all models, mine is the kit direct from Thailand. The props for mine $15-20 and I have 4 in the boat at all times. Been banging rocks with them for 10 years and have only broken one and that was out of frustration. I had 3 people in the boat in ankle deep water underneath the interstate 40 bridge on the holston . It was pitch black dark and I couldn't see the line to take up river so I kept getting stuck. After the third time of getting out of the boat in jeans I had enough and just decided to gun the throttle wide open and dig the prop in the rocks get some hole shot haha. Needless to say I broke a wing off that one. I swear I could drive the boat through my front yard if it had been sprinkling outside

    Hey Rusty

Not even close. I get better mileage in mine than in my truck. Usually 12-15 miles per gallon . One gallon tank, 12 mph is about as fast as I can go. Most of them have a Kohler, Briggs and Stratton , vanguard, or Honda. The same engine that run your pressure washer, tiller, etc .

    Hey Rusty

Sorry I have been off the grid in southern Alabama all week. Basically a mud motor, I’ve been running one for about 10 years in shallow water and it’s like having 4 wheel drive. It will go anywhere a jet will and then some, just slowly

    Night Stripers

Dang it. I’ve been trying to find the alewife spawn on tellico and have been less than successful. For my entire life

    Shad Spawn

Another year gone by and I still have never experienced a shad spawn. Tried at night twice this year, night fishing is not for me

    Flys for bluegills

It doesn’t seem to matter, my favorites are parachute Adams and parachute madaam x on the surface. Or small popping bugs. As far as nyphms, copper jon pheasant tail or any midge will work just about anywhere anytime

    Fishing the Trout lakes 2019

They don’t call her troutgirl for nothing! We shocked one of those little tiger trout when I did an internship with the national park. It was in the oconaluftee watershed , maybe in the ‘luftee main river, I can’t quite recall. I guess that’s another tiger trout right where troutgirl said it would be , as I’m guessing that’s a tributary to Fontana lake
  24. Good deal. You could catch a drum everyday until you die on that stretch
