Those are some good looking crappie fillets.

    Douglas report

I watched some youtube of fizzing techniques. They describe the technique very well and it looked like it saved fish. I don't tournament fish though, so if l do catch a bass it goes back in the lake.

Thanks for info. Hope l can save some fish l don't eat.

    Douglas report

Just looking at old reports to keep in mind for later use. Was interested in you comments on a caught fish being fizzed. Don't know what it is and never heard of it. Could you tell me what it involves, don't want to kill fish that l won't eat.

Any info on how the fishing went on this tournament? Never fished Cherokee before.

    Creating Cover

I used to put out brush where l fish, but fishermen would watch me so l started putting it out at night. But l guess with electronics now they can find them anytime.

    Norris Walleye

Thanks for the info. I guess l better get back on the Clinch River.

    Norris Walleye

Thanks rusty. I guess the reason l never caught any on the Clinch was because l was fishing for trout. We would drift fish with live bait, throw spinners/spoons, very seldom throw small rapala/rebel stick bait with 2 generators on. Mainly when it got hot and you got cooled off up there. Used to catch a lot of stockers from weir to below Masingil bridge. When they opened Peach Orchard ramp we would float down more to the big shoals and catch bigger fish, but not as many.

    Norris Walleye

Do you mean below Norris Dam on Clinch river? I used to fish there for trout, but never caught a Walleye/Sauger. I think l heard a story one time about trolling against the current below Norris Dam for Sauger/Walleye. That was before the weir dam was construction. I wonder if weir dam messed that up?

I meant dada. Spell check did that.

    Melon Hill mess

Hey dad's, new here but have read a lot of your post. Do you think or have you ever tried a small worm harness/spinner rig trolling for perch. I have read some people yse that method for searching for perch. I have never fished just for perch, but l like Melton Hill and would like to give it a try. My dad used to catch them in Clinton city limits on the Clinch/Upper Melton Hill on minnows.

I mainly fish for crappie. I fish mainly on Ft. Loudon. I used to fish Clinch River below Norris Dam ever since l was young, but my dad died, (who first took me up there and many other places. Plus the guy l used to fish with up there on Norris moved away). I also fish below Ft. Loudon dam, and on Tellico Lake some. I used to fish Little T before it became Tellico Lake and Chillowee Lake with my dad. I would like to start river fishing on Holston/French Broad for Smallmouth/Sauger/Walleye/or whatever fish are in rivers. I have a Jon boat and canoe, but don't know enough about river fishing to chance my canoe skills up on Holston/French Broad and my Jon boat might be too big for low water. Upper Douglas in French Broad, upper Clinch on Norris, upper Holston on Cherokee interest me also but have only been on Douglas around Nina Creek/Swans bridge for crappie in winter/early spring but that was years ago and l don't know if l could still find the channel in low water. Below Melton Hill for Walleye/Sauger or up in the lake is also an interest. I used to fish in Little River/Tellico for trout. I mainly spin fish, but would like to learn how to baitcast cranks/plastics/jerkbaits etc.
