    Getting back into fishing

Hey guys, sorry for not having finished the profile and kind of disappearing, was in the hospital and recovering (again). I am 29 years old, but i always tell people i am like a rental car, young model year, high mileage ( i am 100% permanent and total disabled according to the VA and the Army). I live in Johnson city, TN. Interesting thing happened the other day. I ended up just shy of being given a boat. Still a ways from getting it in the water, but it is mine non the less. Its a 1979 pro-craft fish and ski. ugly as sin, but it floats!!! In the process of getting it water worthy again. Just laid down new carpet in the main, still have to re-carpet the front. Engine needs 2 coils but its hard to find them for a 1975 evinrude 135hp lol. And needs 2 marine batteries, one for the engine, one for the trolling motor. But I AM EXCITED! Will be outfitting it with wheelchair lock-downs where the non existent passenger seat would go so i can take wheelchair disabled vets with me too! I've been taking other disabled vets hunting for a while and now i can expand to fishing!

    usadisvet has joined us!

Hi, im a disabled army combat vet and im looking to get back into fishing. If anyone knows any good easily accessible bank fishing locations in North East TN it would be greatly appreciated if you could point me in a good direction. Fixed incomes do not lead to having a boat to get around the lakes so as i said, good relatively accessible bank spots would be great. I will be receiving an Action Trackchair (if you havnt seen these, check them out) soon thanks to the great people at independance fund, which will make longer walk in places etc more accessible but still. If anyone wants some company fishing, just let me know, i can pay you in good company and good stories. Love fishing for catfish as well as just about anything that will bite, but i do love wrestling a good size cat lol. Thanks for your time and be safe.
